Helping Haitian Angels
Helping Haitian Angels
The Smiles for Life dental team is proud to support the non-profit organization Helping Haitian Angels. Dr. McIntyre, Becky, and other members of our team travel to the orphanage in the Kay Anj Village and provide all the dental care they can to the children in need and the surrounding community. Through the years, the dental clinic has improved greatly with new equipment donated by suppliers and through monetary donations from our patients and community members.
Dr. McIntyre, Becky, and some of our team will be returning to Haiti this year, and they will still face great challenges in treating the children without further improved equipment. If you would like to help us provide much needed dental care to these children please click here, then select “Dental Clinic” under the section labeled “Apply my gift to:”. Doing this will help to purchase vitally needed equipment for our dental clinic in the Kay Anj Village.

Open Doors
Open Doors
Twice a year, our office volunteers at Open Doors, a local homeless shelter. Open Doors provides shelter and a warm meal for up to 40 people a day. It is a community shelter that is sponsored by a different church organization each week. When Smiles for Life volunteers, we prepare and serve food at whichever church is hosting, providing a home-made meal to many people who would have gone hungry.
Halloween Candy Give-Back for the Troops
Halloween Candy Give-Back for the Troops
After every Halloween, we sponsor a Halloween Candy Give-Back program in our office. Anyone and everyone is invited to bring in their Halloween candy to donate. We then gather up the candy and send it as a treat to the deployed U.S. troops. In the past, we have collected as much as 300 pounds! When people stop by to drop off their candy, we offer them the opportunity to write a note of gratitude to the troops that we send along with the treats.
